The 888 Luck Continues

As you’re reading this post, chances are I’m tucked safely into our mini-van, heading North to a family wedding. You see, my Uncle-In-Law is getting married today. He’s been with his lucky lady for about a decade and many, many moons ago asked her when they would take the plunge and tie the knot. Both divorced, they weren’t too eager to jump on the marriage band-wagon again. She replied “08-08-08, you can wait, wait wait!”

Turns out 08-08-08 came sooner than they expected. Turns out, it wasn’t really a great day to have a family wedding at their Cottage Home. Turns out they only gave us about 8 weeks notice… long after I’d already booked tickets to my good friend’s wedding that had been planned (oddly enough for 8 months) for the same date! Family trumps friend so I’m heading to Lucky Dan’s wedding today… but my heart will be with Lucky Ryan.

And sshh… I’m harboring the secret desire that My Mr. Lucky will be inspired and put 18 months of waiting to an end and agree to set a date. Who knows, maybe 10-10-10 it will be then, then, then!
