My Online Business Blueprint

We were hit with another Winter Storm today so between trips outside to shovel the driveway (three times!) I cleaned my office.  Got myself a little better organized and tidied up some closets and drawers that had become hiding places for items I didn’t want to deal with on my desk. 

After dinner, I headed back into my office to tidy up my mental lock box and wrote down my online business blueprint for the different segments of my business.  Though I’ve been online for close to a decade and have worked in the Inner Circles of some amazing online entrepreneurs, I’ve never paid too much attention to my own information products.  Sure I’ve created some and have had some reasonable sales, my energies have always been directed at supporting my clients to grow their online businesses that I half-heartedly would pay attention to my own.

Today, I was inspired by a fantastic video by Eben Pagan to write down my business blueprint and thought I would share the strategy with you.

We were asked to define the stage our online business is in:

• Startup: No information products, no web presence
• Growth: Have an info product selling, looking to outsource administrative tasks to a VA
• Established: Looking for strategic partners & affiliates & to build member site

We were then asked to sketch out our blueprint.  What do we want our business to look like at the end of the process (or phase)?  What pieces do we have in place?  What pieces are missing? 

And finally, and this is key, we were asked to identify the next three actions steps.

Within ten minutes of having finished watching the video, I had my blueprints on paper and action steps in place.

My next steps are outlined in blue.  I will work tomorrow to further identify three actions steps within each category and set a due date for each.
