Just stumbled across a fantastic report by MarketingSherpa (passed on by my colleague, Chris Knight) of the biggest email marketing blunders.
Mistake #5. Institution-to-One Messaging
I’m guilty of this one sometimes. Especially when I’m in teaching mode. This blunder reminded me to take more care when I dash off a message.
Chris reminds us: Every email communication is read by one human at a time. Make sure your message is 1:1 rather than talking to your list as if they were a group.
